Business Continuity

Since 2009, we have helped our clients achieve business continuity from High Availability and Disaster Recovery standpoints. With verifiable references, clients in financial, high-performance-computing and healthcare, have consistently maintained zero RPO and 0.1 RTO for their mission critical and OLTP workloads.

High Availability preparedness is achieved via the HyperSwap technology which provides dual-site, active-active access to a volume.  HyperSwap functions are available on systems that can support more than one I/O group. HyperSwap volumes have a copy at one site and a copy at another site. Data that is written to the volume is automatically sent to both copies. If one site is no longer available, the other site can provide access to the volume. To construct HyperSwap volumes, active-active relationships are made between the copies at each site. These relationships automatically run and switch direction according to which copy or copies are online and up to date. The relationships provide access to whichever copy is up to date through a single volume, which has unique ID. Relationships can be grouped into consistency groups just like Metro Mirror and Global Mirror relationships. The consistency groups fail over consistently as a group based on the state of all copies in the group. An image that can be used for disaster recovery is maintained at each site.

Disaster Recovery preparedness is implemented either via the traditional disaster recover planning and testing or through DRaaS (Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service). When it is proposed as a service, the model offers significant cost savings compared with maintaining redundant dedicated hardware resources in your own data center, typical of the traditional method as an option. In the “as-a-service” model, contracts are available in which clients pay fees for maintaining failover capabilities plus the per-use costs of the resources consumed in a disaster recovery situation. We will typically assume all responsibility for configuring and maintaining the failover environment.

  • Does your Disaster Recovery (technical & operation) team still complains about not having found a true Failover/Failback solution?
  • Have you ever experienced a true non-destructive High Availability solution based on architecture & configuration with no additional software or hardware?

High Availability

This is a state-of-the-art failover & failback technology that is pre-plumbed with 99% of our Flash Storage Systems.

Now, all the clients’ mission critical & OLTP applications have access to storage from two storage systems in active-active configuration and mode.

  • Do your workloads have the minimum possible RTO & RPO requirement possible?
  • Is your entire business operation predicated on Mission critical & OLTP Application 100% uptime?

Disaster Recovery & DRaaS Initiative

If one of your IT enterprise house rules is a traditional & periodic team effort “Plan & Test” based DR initiative, please click here to request help on how our BCRS (Business Continuity & Resiliency Operation) team can help you with facility, colocation, capacity sizing & IaaS architecture & configuration.

DRaaS is our Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service offering. With this solution, you get to cut your month, perhaps weeks long Disaster Recovery Planning & Testing exercise down to hours or minutes.

This is a state-of-the-art failover & failback technology that is pre-plumbed with 99% of our Flash Storage Systems.

Our versatile subject matter experts have provided data protection, cyber resiliency, disaster recovery & business continuity solutions to clients in different industry verticals.

Clients & Industry Testimonials

Consolidated Data Storage technical representatives came in a saved the day for us.

They both led the DR Solution technical meetings, infrastructure capacity sizing, plan & procedure for data replication, disaster recovery failover/fail-back procedure and technical steps for achieving and completing them.

This was for the Business Continuity roadmap for a conglomerate of (over 1,000 bed) hospitals.

Education & Government

Consolidated Data Storage led the implementation our the Gwinnett School Systems Data Protection rudimentary tasks by setting up the Storage Virtualization technology for PB of data via the IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC).

They set up a 16-Node Storage Virtualization Cluster – the basis technical premise upon which the School Systems IT Data protection runs.

came in a saved the day for us. They built our first ever “Boot from SAN” infrastructure and setup a Business Continuity roadmap for our company.

Consolidated Data Storage (Patrick) built our first ever “Boot from SAN” infrastructure with the IBM DS Storage Systems & setup a Business Continuity roadmap for our company.

Benedict Murray / IT Manager.
McDade Woodcock, Albuquerque, NM.

Alan from Consolidated Data Storage implemented the SAN & Storage infrastructure for our backup system.

He made backup and data availability very robust, responsive for us based on his technical understanding and uprightness.

Power Grid & Generation

The Architect from Consolidated Data Storage (via IBM) took a leadership role & collaboration with the internal storage team. He provided technical procedure & played a pivotal role in making sure that over 1 PT of data (over 2500 Fabric Ports) was successfully migrated from our Taylor, TX  DC to Round-Rock, TX using the EMC SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility).

Financial & FinTech

 Ayo from Consolidated
Data Storage was responsible for our daily replication, management of EMC storage data between the Sandy Springs, GA & Atlanta, GA Datacenters.

He provided DR & Business Continuity roadmap and all procedure to support them. The entire organization benefitted from his storage, datacenter, open systems (UNIX, LINUX & Windows) & overall IT infrastructure expertise on several occasions when he had to help the Server Systems Administration team substantiate or resolve issues based on his wealth of IT knowledge.

Rod Pearson/ Backup & Disaster Recovery Manager
RBS WorldPay, Sandy Springs, GA.

Data Storage provided an important role in our datacenter move from South Wabash, IL to Naperville, IL.

With their resource on our team, an unprecedented and timely solution was provided to a mainframe infrastructure potential issue that was supposed to cause a delay of this project.

More importantly, their technical representatiove was a key and lead player in the EMC Symmetrix Data Replication between sites. This needed to be done before the physical site cut-over
